Keep linking: Linking within the article to either specific sections, to other articles in the same topic, or to pages of your company’s site that offers services related to what you’ve written is one of the best things you can do to drive traffic to your pages. It caters perfectly to the goals of SEO and is one of the most convenient things to do.
Use several keywords: It is very important that you make use of a variety of different keywords rather than variations to the same keyword, because using a different keyword has more value than recycling the old ones. Also, a variety of keywords just means broadening the spectrum.
Page titles: Since it is the first thing that any search engine will look for and any user will see, it is important that the page titles determine definitively what the page is about. Include a keyword or two for better SEO, but ensure that you don’t over populate it with keywords.
Hidden linking: Hidden Linking is a big no-no when it comes to SEO. These are links that are hidden by having the text in the same color as the background, when the size of the text is zero, etc. These are considered illegal techniques because they are invisible to the humans and are intended solely for search bots. Removing them is essential in making the safe and not violating the webmasters guidelines.
Duplicate content/pages: Duplicate content happens when a particular content appears on more than one page. Duplicate Content and maliciously plagiarised content is looked down upon and usually ignored by most search bots, hence, having duplicate content is a bad idea.
Broken Links: Neither humans, not search bots like broken links, the reason is simple: they don’t lead anywhere. Broken links may happen for several reasons like 404 errors, DNS errors, among many more. It is crucial to check every link often to make sure link rot hasn’t set in.
H2 tags: Having the title of the page in a H1 tag and the other important texts on the page in H2 and H3 tags gives it importance and the search bot will recognise it such.
Italics and Bold: Use Italics and bold sparingly in your text. They are essentially used for drawing attention to the important parts of the text and over using them just moves the focus off of them and their point is lost.
